Photographer Chris Hyver has known Matthew for a few years and wanted to show Matthew in his rawest form. This shoot was the fifth time that they’ve collaborated and Chris wanted to make it special. He wanted the world to see Matthew Stephen Herrick as he really is.
Matthew recently shot a commercial spot for Doritos, that he not only starred in but also helped concept and create with an amazing team of talented individuals for the “Crash The Superbowl” contest. Matthew shows many sides of his career from acting roles in film, TV, stage and commercials to the modeling world. He goes from sexy and seductive to the quirky guy next door proving to be both business savvy and chameleon like in both his on camera work and in front of the photographers lens.

Matthew Stephen Herrick is an actor and model located in Los Angeles, California, originally from a small town outside Philadelphia, PA. Matthew most recently appeared in Guest House Films ‘Role/Play’, where he plays a soap opera actor involved in the medias exploitation of gay actors recently outed to the public and the repercussions that follow. This film has already appeared in several Film festivals and will be showing in Los Angeles at the Outfest Film Festival on July 11th and July 18th along with many other festivals to follow.
After rocking YVY Mag with a Rick Day’s exclusive feature and a sizzling hot series by James Loy the insanely gorgeous Matthew gives us an exclusive of his personal project all shot by himself. The whole idea was to explore the hyper masculinity and simplicity of the subject with the concentration on the model.

Matthew can also be seen at The Underground Annex Theater in Los Angeles performing as the lead in the play ‘Nuns Against Porn‘ – a crass comedy that combines the Catholic church and the porn industry on one special weekend in the same cabin.
Matthew recently signed on for a new underwear/bathing suit line in which he will be shooting the campaign in the next coming weeks. He works on a constant basis with many up and coming designers including NoRal2010 and many more.

Mr. Rick Day’s talent is beyond definition and his images always capture the true physical beauty of their male models. His latest work with the stunning model Matthew Stephen Herrick is proof of it.
Matthew grew up in a small town outside Philadelphia and came to Los Angeles straight out of highschool at 17 with aspirations in both acting and modeling. He is now 25 years old and has been succesful in his careers, starring in the upand coming horror/comedy “George’s Intervention” and on the Current TV show “Dan about Town.”. Matthew is also busy working on a few other independent features that will be coming out next year.
“I come from a large family of 6 boys and 2 girls. I train in Muy thai kickboxing, love pretty much anything outdoors, hiking, and a regular at the gym. I live in Silver Lake with my dog Billie.” said Matthew.
